The most commonly used base fabric materials in the production of tarpaulin PVC waterproof are polyester fabric and nylon fabrics.
To meet the needs of various industry applications, polyester fiber base fabrics are available in many specifications: 200D PVC tarpaulin, 500D PVC tarpaulin waterproof, 550D PVC coated tarpaulin, 600D PVC tarpaulin, 1000D PVC tarpaulin fabric, 2000D PVC tarpaulin, etc. The higher the specification, the better the physical properties of the waterproof heavy duty UV resistant PVC tarpaulin fabric.
Polyvinyl chloride coating: The base material is coated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin to give the base fabric waterproofing and additional protective properties (anti-UV, anti-mildew, waterproof, fireproof, antistatic, etc.).
The PVC coating is applied to both sides or one side of the base fabric through a specialized manufacturing process to ensure uniform coverage to make waterproof PVC coated tarpaulin fabric. There are currently two categories of tarpaulin waterproof PVC: waterproof knife coated PVC tarpaulins and PVC laminated tarpaulins. They represent two different manufacturing processes.
